Service Technician | Park Place Apartments (NTS Development Company)

NTS Development Company is well known for our meticulous care in our community appearance and maintenance operations. One of Park Place’s biggest selling points is our reputation for having the best service team in Lexington! Right now we are looking for a service-minded professional with a friendly, customer service attitude who is willing to roll up their sleeves and go to work! 

The Service Technician acts under the direction of the Community and Service Manager and is responsible for the appearance and working order of individual apartments, exterior and common areas. Responsibilities will include performing various plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general repairs. Additional responsibilities include: 

• Monitor and complete resident work orders in a timely manner, following up to ensure resident satisfaction
• Complete all assigned maintenance work to get vacant apartments ready for move-in
• Seasonal tasks such as assisting with pool maintenance or snow removal during inclement weather
• Completing activities related to the community’s preventative maintenance program
• Upkeep of our meticulously groomed landscape
• Demonstrate a professional image with meticulous detail to uniforms, maintenance cart, and shop areas

The ideal candidate must be able to address the concerns and maintenance needs of our residents in a friendly and professional manner. A Service Technician must have good organizational abilities, follow-up skills, and attention to detail both in their work and when communicating with our residents. 

Are you the right person for the Job? 

The ideal Service Technician may not necessarily have previous apartment experience. However, the right candidate should have some general maintenance experience, preferably in some form of facilities or building environment, and be comfortable working in a team-oriented atmosphere. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS include a high school diploma or equivalent, HVAC EPA Certification, 1+ year’s maintenance experience, dependable transportation, and valid driver’s license, and receive favorable results from all pre-employment background screenings. In property management, evenings and weekends are par for the course. The ideal candidate needs schedule flexibility to accommodate a 7-day workweek, and be willing to be in rotation with other service team members to be on call for maintenance emergencies.

Maintenance Technician | Saddlebrook at Tates Creek

Saddlebrook at Tates Creek is looking for a driven, dedicated, skilled, reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. Your role is critical for maintaining our high level of customer service while creating a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for our residents.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Complete maintenance service requests; including, but not limited to: plumbing, HVAC, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, paint, grounds
  • Inspect and help coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and deadlines
  • Maintain the appearance, condition, and safety of the property
  • Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program
  • Coordinate special projects as directed
  • On-Call responsibilities
  • Conduct all business in accordance with company policy/procedures, Fair Housing, American with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to housing

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years previous apartment maintenance experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance principles and procedures
  • Ability to work over time, evenings, weekends, or holidays as necessary in an On-Call Rotation.
  • EPA Certification
  • Must have the necessary basic hand tools and knowledge to effectively complete tasks outlined above
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors and fellow employees with high ethical standards
  • Follow oral and written instructions to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships
  • Highly organized and dependable
  • Pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening
