Awards Committee

  • The Awards Committee is an exciting way to assist in planning the largest attended event GLAA offers each year!

  • This committee meets periodically in the beginning of the year and more frequently towards the middle of the year.  Usually no more than once a month unless needed.

  • This committee selects recommended dates and location for Awards, based on committee discussions, price and availability of location.

  • This committee works closely with GLAA staff in selecting, music, menu items, decorations, awards trophies, etc.

  • Committee members are responsible for soliciting sponsorships to adequately meet budget goals and to present the members with a professional award’s presentation.

  • This committee is responsible for submitting minutes of each meeting to the GLAA Board of Directors.

  • Committee members are responsible for assisting GLAA staff in promoting the Awards program to all GLAA members throughout the year!
