The Lexington Apartment Association is an Educational and Legislative Trade Association. Our members are Owners, Management Companies, Managers, and Associates/Suppliers who provide products and services to the Multi-Family Housing Industry. By working together we are able to accomplish goals that are difficult or impossible to achieve on an individual basis.
It is important that we, as an Association, work together on Legislative Issues. Over the past few sessions in Frankfort, along with the Louisville and Northern Kentucky Apartment Associations, we have addressed some very important legislative issues including Occupancy Standards, Telecommunication (satellite dishes), and Lead-Based Paint.
Continuing Education is a primary service of LAA. We are affiliated with the National Apartment Association and through this partnership are able to offer designations to Managers, Maintenance Technicians, and Leasing Professionals. In addition to these National Programs we offer various Seminars throughout the year. Our Monthly Membership Meetings feature speakers covering legislative, industry, and civic concerns.
We encourage our Owners to be participants in the LAA Owner's Council. This group meets 3-4 times a year for breakfast. Here there is the exchange of ideas and information that keeps our members in the forefront of current issues.
LAA represents the owners and managers of over 21,000 multi-family units in the Lexington and the Central Kentucky area. Our members try to exclusively do business with others within the organization. Membership provides your company with the opportunity to meet the people who make the purchasing decisions for these residential rental homes. The Association meets on a monthly basis with various Seminars and Special Events. These outings allow Associate Members the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with the industry's decision makers in a relaxed friendly environment.
As an LAA member, you will have access to our confidential membership roster. Your company will also be highlighted in our bi-monthly newsletter, "Your Home and Mine." You will also have the opportunity to advertise in this publication.
LAA has an annual Trade Show. This event boasts our largest turnout of the year. As an exhibitor, your company has the opportunity to showcase its products and services as well as reinforcing current customer relations in a casual, upbeat setting. We encourage you to consider this amazing opportunity to make your company better known.
LAA's owners and managers recognize a supplier's membership in the Association as being supportive of the education and legislative efforts important to a strong multi-family housing industry. LAA membership not only provides you with the opportunity to reach the decision makers in the industry, but it also brings recognition to your company, demonstrating that it stands for overall professionalism as well as productive business practices.
